40. after the holiday

On Thursday, August 11, we ended the year with a sports day, ending in a balloon party (with cookies from Loïs!)

Tuesday, September 13th September we started again, after cleaning the school on Monday with the whole team. The beginning was a bit disappointing. There were only 2 children: Dora and Loïs had come.

Alvin had asked for special time off because his mother had to go to the hospital in Accra and he had to come along. Saviour can't come because of the rainy season: She's always brought by her grandmother, or one of her sisters. That is about a 5 kilometer walk, via a 'short' route. But because of the rain, the short route is blocked by a river. From Monday we will pick her up by motorbike!

After a round of calls, it turned out that Gilbert, Richmond and Faith were sick. The rest had forgotten that we would start again on the 13th. So after the next holiday before the start we will call round!

Fortunately, more children came the second day, although 2 of the sick were still sick! The advantage of a small group is that the children can work much better with real individual help. Their concentration is much better and therefore the results too!

But of course, we also relaxed. Which is not quite right, because blowing bubbles is a very good lip exercise! And very enjoyable!
