The courses will be organized in the Lumen Mundi community-based workshop which is situated in the converted sea-container next to the school. They are for (young) adults with or without a handicap. Each course is aimed at providing a better (and greener) future by giving the participants extra skills, knowledge and confidence. The target group is very varied – from people who are looking for help in building their own house or who want to learn how to work with an electric drill, to artists who want to master a particular technique. Examples of the different courses are: carpentry, welding, the use of different hand-tools, sewing, weaving, working with refuse, leather work, climate, “green” farming, and whatever else there is! The courses can take 1 to 3 years to complete. At the end the participants will get a diploma. The courses will be given by Lumen Mundi staff, but people from outside will also be asked. The participants will be expected to pay a contribution to help fund the Lumen Mundi School.

Items made in the Lumen Mundi community-based workshop and by children at the Lumen Mundi School will be sold, which will also provide a (small) financial contribution for the school. It is our wish to open a gallery where items made by the children and in the workshops can be displayed.
