21. toilets
Of course, we also have toilets in the building. (Thanks in part to the Ladies of the Silk Thread and other donors.) The toilets are used intensively. We have a toilet for people with disabilities. Unfortunately, we cannot use that yet: the water pressure is not high enough, because our water tank is not high enough. Furthermore, the toilet itself is not completely in order, because the water does not remain in the water reservoir. It runs straight into the pot. It is already on an elevation, so the height is good.
We are going to, (very creatively, because we can't buy the extra materials here) put a chair over it, put in cement, so that the seat has the right height for people with disabilities, and cannot fall over. There is already a recess in the seat.
We are now at the point where the children can be showered in this separate room when the diaper is full. (Toilet training is another thing...) Again because of the water pressure, the shower cannot be used yet. But we have a children's bath where we can put the children after the worst has already been removed outsite. (The dirty diapers go into a separate pit behind the school.)
The children are washed with a bucket and a sponge.
