22. fundraiser

On request of our Dutch foundation, Stichting Lumen Mundi, we make Christmas cards which we can sell. A bit strange to start making Christmas cards on April 1st, but the children enjoy the painting very much. The advantage is that I might be able to give them to somebody to take them to The Netherlands. and therefore, we have no shipping costs, because to be honest, shipping costs are ridiculously high at the moment!

The materials we use: old cardboard boxes, wrapping paper from Ikea that I took with me, wire, stars to stick on (received from De Baanderij Relief Centre (where we bought our container), acrylic paint and ecoline. I make the molds for the sampled cards and the children tampon them full.

We let the children do as much as possible themselves. For some children it is very difficult.

With a little helping of the hands, they are okay. (And don't be afraid of dirty fingers and clothes: the washing machine is busy with it!)

You can see an example of the cards in the photos.
