47. the fence

When I was in the Netherlands, the whole month of May and 2 more weeks, Richard and his apprentice worked on a fence. They finished it for 3/4 (and a little). The last piece is going to be a wall. A wall with the same model as the wall of the container. A beautiful invitation to the Lumen Mundi premises.

Rosemund's father, a mason, had promised to help us with that. We are very happy with that!

So, at the end of the second week of the holiday (Our long vacation between two academic years ended after 3 weeks on October 9) a start was made: first of all, a foundation was digged. Then cement made for that same foundation. For this time we could use a cement mixer of Daniel Mangold, so that went super-fast. We had made stones much earlier also.

The people have all worked very hard: We now have a wall of 5 stones above the ground. We can't go on now because we can't buy sand. That is scooped from the river bottom, but there is now water in the rivers because of the rainy season.

So please wait! To be continued!
