9. the motorking
Because not everyone knows what a MotorKing is, here some pictures, with the adjustments made by Mr. Simon of Endurance Metal Works. How happy we are with that man! Each adjustment was discussed; every idea was appreciated, and that's how we finally came to this result.
Richard did not weld himself, but if he had the chance and the time, he would certainly have practically participated in it!
There is no cover yet, because I am making it from water sachets. That's quite a job, and because we already work at school, I don't have much time for that anymore.
On weekends I will also make t.l.m.’s, so I hope the canopy is ready before the rainy season starts in April. The MotorKing is now in use: the gangway is only used in Sandema because there are many children in the MotorKing and there is a risk that a child bumps his head against the 'raised' gangway.
We are still looking for a solution for this. The wheelchairs are hung on the sides, but the plan is to leave them at the post office.
The children then use the wheelchairs that are at school. Two wheelchairs have been given on loan to children. One of them we will get back soon, because his own wheelchair will be refurbished by Lumen Mundi Foundation Workshop.
