Blog 66. Humanitarian Award Global

Margreet was nominated for the Humanitarian Award Global. That was a big surprise! Margreet feels it is earned by the whole team working at the Lumen Mundi Foundation. So, everybody, the board, parents, children and staff, thank you for making it possible to get this Award. All together we earned it!

Richard and Margreet left for Accra, where on the 26th of October 2024 the Award was presented to all winners in the Royal Beach Hotel. It was a real adventure. We met a lot of people, networked and Margreet was interviewed a few times.

After all that, the Awards were presented, in a very nice, huge hall, with a big podium and two hosts. There were three breaks with great music, two times a sing-a-song writer on guitar and a very young lady on a saxophone.  The played marvellous!

In the end Margreet got the Award. They forgot to give her the shawl. But that was given afterwards to her by one of the organisers: Mr. Wisdom Dordoe. That made it even more special!
