54. sad news

Very sad news.

On the first of January we had very bad news. Illijah passed. He had been sick for a long period, but we did expect him to come back to school….. he was even very enthusiastic to take part in our Christmas play.

But he could’t anymore. So sad!!!! We will miss him all. Especially the children, but also the staff of Lumen Mundi Foundation!

Elijah was very happy when he could come to school. He was always very attentive. He learned a lot. All the songs we sing in the morning he knew by heart, and he sang them with great joy. Because he fell very often, we gave him a walker. In the beginning he didn’t want to use it. But since the falling got worse, he accepted it, and he was even proud of it.

He liked to play with other children. The swing was one of his favourites and playing with the sand was another one.

We wish his family a lot of strength to cope with this loss. We will miss him very much, but he will be in our hearts forever!
