35. new students

And all of a sudden, we have 13 students! Munaaya didn’t come anymore since the first week. What a pity, but we have to accept. It is the parents choice.

But now we have three more children. One of them arrived last week already. His name is Richmond or Maami. It is a boy, 8 years old with autism. Because he has weak muscle tone what gives him a lanky walk. He gets tired real fast and he can not run. He wants to do everything in his own way. His best friend, is Faith.

We also have David. David is 13 and he has Down Syndrom. He is very nice. But , because he is the oldest of the group, he thinks he is in charge. Sorry for him: that is not the case! He likes very much to ride on a bicycle. So much, that the second day Kojo found him on the main road to Sandema, already at the second bridge! For now he cannot ride on a bicycle anymore, until we figured out a way to let him know how far he can go.

Last but not least Elijah: Elijah is ten years old. He is smart and he is able to connect with Gilbert and Ezekiel. Elijah has a balance problem. That is the reason that he falls a lot. He doesn’t want to use a walker. He has a bright loud laugh, which shows us that he likes to be in class!

On the pictures it is clear how the new children are welcomed in the group. That just makes you happy!
